Just Winging It....

Hello Possums,

Hello from Bella!

I have been printing! PRINTING!

Sorry...It's been a while.

Life/Work balance is a little unsettled at the moment so the chance to actually make some work is a bit thin on the ground.

BUT....
here are a couple of dodgy photos to give you a peek....

Lots of bird etchings with embossed plant matter.

Gallah etching on plastic with rose petal embossing & watercolour

Wattle Bird etching with grass embossing

Kookaburra etching, detail

Wattle Bird etching, detail

Gallah etching, detail

Forest etching on aluminium, detail.
I have plans to embroider this baby....

Frances' Forest, etching on aluminium.

I've been making these for an exhibition at Sweets Workshop opening on the 20th of April...more info soon. (Better photos too!)

In other news I had a quick trip up to Sydney town to see Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds.
Sigh.

I found these on the net, no cameras allowed unfortunately....
Watch this and this on youtube to see some naughty filmed bits from the show I got to see.....it wasn't my handiwork.....you'd have epilepsy by the end if it was!

I also got stung by a bluebottle, ate some delicious Bourke Street Bakery treats, saw the Francis Bacon exhibition at the Art Gallery of NSW, missed the Anish Kapoor exhibition at the MCA for lack of time but got to see the piece out front, and got some reading time in.

Anish Kapoor Cloud sculpture thing.
GORGEOUS.

Watched 'Django Unchained'.
Just for this suit.

'On the Road' was pretty satisfying too.
It's a shame I didn't like the book. Give me Allan Ginsberg over Jack Kerouac anytime.

Oh!
My $300 box of Stonehenge paper came yesterday with many many menacing Paul Kelly heads stuck to it.
Now I can print some more lino cuts!

Paul is watching you....
Remember that burnt foliage i was telling you about....?
Look! It's already growing back!

And I actually managed a Frida hairdo!
I'm very proud of myself.....it's amazing if I manage to remember brushing it.
Strongman approves.....he's keeping an eye on things.

AND
this book is THE BEST.
I LOVE David Hockney.

That's all for now...

More coming...I'm on a ROLL!

J
