over the hill and into the wood....

Hello Spring Chickens,

Success!!

Here are a couple of shots....

I needed that pole behind me...it was a very handy friend to lean on. :)

My Mum has started a blog of her very own, The Crystal Lane Nest
(that's her hiding behind the table....)
Check it out to see more pictures of her gorgeous baskets and info on what they're made from.

Hope y'all come out to the next market on the 8th of December.
Stay tuned.......there will be some new exciting Christmas wares and paper paraphernalia....

In other news.....
One of my favourite kid's book authors Oliver Jeffers has a new book out.
"This Moose belongs to me".....well.....he does!

How great is our rug?!
I've been mooching around on it like a 5 year old lately looking for inspiration.
P J Harvey has been helping out too....

All this green reminds me of a line from the book I'm reading at the moment, Wildwood by Colin Meloy (lead singer of the Decemberists) and his wife Carson Ellis (a totally rad illustrator).

"Prue stopped and leaned against a fir tree, taking in her verdant surroundings"
All this inspiration and faffing about has lead to something....

Here is a new drypoint etching i've been working on....
Just a little clue....these friendly little guys are pretty in pink.

Also,

I've been birdy sitting this week.
Meet Ziggy Stardust.
I did a little drawing and he did a little critiquing.....I don't think he liked his 'likeness' very much....
There was a little pile of paper on the floor below where he'd nibbled it off and a little pile of something else on the drawing....
